Possible locations of the planned activity: Land unit with cadastral designation 4464 004 0075, which is part of the real estate “Daugavpils putni” (property cadastral No. 4464 004 0074), in Laucesa parish, Augšdaugava municipality.

The State Environmental Service adopted decision No. 11.17/AP/5122/2026 on June 2, 2026, regarding the application of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure for the expansion of the poultry complex “Daugavpils putni” in Laucesa parish, Augšdaugava municipality.

Within the scope of the planned activity, the expansion of the existing poultry complex “Daugavpils putni” is planned by constructing four new laying hen houses. Each house is intended to accommodate up to 160,000 laying hens. Within the scope of the planned activity, it is planned to create up to 640,000 new laying hen places. Laying hens are intended to be kept cage-free. To ensure the planned activity, it is planned to use the existing infrastructure of the company, while expanding and adapting it. After the expansion of the complex, the projected production volume can reach approximately 250 million chicken eggs per year.
